Summer is the time to top up your tan and drink in the gloriously warm sun rays, especially when those hot days are few and far between. To make sure you're getting the most sunshine possible when relaxing in your garden, get yourself a lightweight sun lounger that you can easily move about.

Garden furniture is high in demand but as we begin preparing for more glorious time in the garden sunshine, a lightweight sun lounger is a great option for those who don't fancy lugging a heavy sun lounger around the garden to catch some sun. They are also a lot easier to store and many fold up so storing it away shouldn't be a problem.

FAQs

Can garden furniture be left outside?

Yes – but we have a few tips before you fork out, thanks to Modern Gardens Magazine contributor Jill Morgan. She says: “The best way to make your furniture set last is to observe the changing weather and seasons carefully.” Not all furniture will be 100 per cent weatherproof.

How do you look after your sun loungers?

Summer months are bound to make your sun lounger a little dirty, but there are many ways to keep it looking its best. If your lounger is made of plastic, use a mixture of mild soap and water to wipe it clean. Use a soft brush or cloth to get rid of stubborn stains.

If your sun lounger is made from synthetic wicker it can be left out all year (you may want to bring the cushions indoors), but you might want to go for a protective cover.
