Flormart – The Green Italy, the historical international exhibition traditionally held in Padua, north eastern Italy, is coming back on September 20th-22nd for its 72nd edition.
A strong mission for a visionary layout
“Make way for the green space”, its payoff claims, emphasising the crucial role of serious planning for the enhancement of landscape and, generally speaking, green areas. In developing its mission of representing a new paradigm of “The Green Italy”, Flormart evokes the ancient Theory of the Five Elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and the Fifth Element turn into the ideal symbology to discover the layout of the exposition and for the visitor to navigate through the different product categories in a unique way.
According to this visionary structure, every element represents a different sector or area of expertise: Earth embodies horticulture and culture techniques, Water recollects irrigation and basic technologies, Fire focuses on machinery and cultivation treatments, while Air and the Fifth Element showcase architects/landscape designers and start-ups, respectively.

The trade show attracts over 4,000 professional visitors, including 150 top buyers from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The event cooperates with ITA – Italian Trade Agency – to bring in international attendees. Among the new visitors of Flormart – The Green Italy, there are professionals such as landscape designers and architects, but also institutions and public bodies responsible for the urban planning. Large-scale distribution and garden centres are also joining the exhibition, reflecting the sector's increasing focus on floriculture, horticulture, and home gardening.
A rich event program will take the visitors throughout the very burning issues of the sector, such as the climate transition on the urban landscape and the European best practices in the planning and design of the newfound concept of green city.
“During the last 10 years," says Antonio Cellie, the CEO of Fiere di Parma (the organizer of Flormart – The Green Italy), "the global scenery has led to an important rediscovery of the quality of living. Italy has always been the country of bon vivre, and the paradigm of “Green Italy” we represent with Flormart stands for a renovation of our cultural and strategic approach to the green sector and all its burning issues. A deep rethinking of urban spaces can and will make green areas become special places to enjoy and share time. I am strongly convinced these are nowadays fundamental key themes, compelling modern society to act and show the green sector relevance and interest.”
